About the Position
Open Road is seeking a highly experienced and entrepreneurial Publisher to join its growing organization. The Publisher will be responsible for managing publishing operations for both the backlist and frontlist catalogue titles with specific focus on growing the e-publishing business. She or he will combine business sense, innovation, creativity and execution leadership to elevate the brand, drive revenue, and grow profitability across multiple channels and platforms. Working in partnership with the EVP-Revenue, the Publisher is responsible for developing business and content strategy with primary focus on growing OR/M’s business and product offerings. She or he will have ownership for execution of the strategy and ensuring success. This role will manage the publishing team of eight and will report directly to the CEO.
The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B publishing sales in both digital and print preferably in a scrappy, start-up environment and/or developing new publishing ventures at larger, more traditional publishing companies.
